  • Yeah...California has a lot of overhead for any business. Regulatory fees and the costs of filing, inspections, reviews, etc. add a huge amount too.

  • One has to wonder. If backlight failure is such a common problem, you'd think they would design it so the backlight subsystem could be easily and cheaply replaced (labor-wise).

  • It's a shame the hospital's "protocol" involves a VERY high-priced service, when a gurney + med-techs would likely suffice. Of course, then if they did that they'd probably be sued because they DIDN'T send an ambulance. Lawyers and screwy tort laws put us here.

  • "...but the tilted horizon in that image detracts from what otherwise would be a great feature image."   Ummm. You can just crop it and rotate it 8 degrees clockwise and you've got your "great feature image"...with a horizontal horizon and everything! How can someone not know this?

  • Then for whatever reason, my web page appears to be linking to an entirely different video. There is no activity in the STILL shot of the contrail displayed during the video of the news broadcast that appears on my computer when I load this page.

  • I'm limiting my observations to the video provided in this article...which provides essentially a still shot of what looks like a simple contrail taken from a non-ground perspective. It's nothing special.

  • Even I can tell that's almost certainly an airplane contrail. It looks nothing like any missile trail I've seen.
